Nagori

Visiting the Nikko sanctuary in Japan back in March filled me with inspiration and imagery of japanese shrines in forests of gigantic cedar trees. It was only a question of time before I paid a tribute to this incredible place!
I tried to put an extra care into the research for this piece, with lots of reference and iterations, to capture the atmosphere and sunlight rising upon the vestiges of a long-forgotten sanctuary.
